the trek starts from the village of Phathao some 12 km north of Vang Vieng. After reaching the mountain range, a climb leads to heights with spectacular panoramic views. Near the top of the ridge lies the Tham Hok Cave. It contains some of the most impressive stalactites and stalagmites to be found in Vang Vieng. After the descent down the far side of the mountain, our 'Secret Eden' is reached. There is time for a swim in cool pools nearby rapids before returning to Vang Vieng.

Afternoon Workshop & sunset cocktails. Learn about silk worms and silk making, then prepare a natural colour and dye your own silk scarf to take home. After all the hard work enjoy Lao style cocktails (alcoholic and non-alcoholic available) and canapés overlooking the Mekong River. This is ideal for a family group or group of friends, workshop needs a minimum of 3 people.

Draw your own Hmong Batik! After an introduction to Hmong culture, begin work with a Hmong artist and draw a traditional design on hemp cloth. These two days of trekking and caving take us across the 1500 m high ridge of Vang Vieng to remote places that even locals don't know about, before kayaking back to Vang Vieng along the scenic Nam Song River.

Feel like mountain biking across rice fields and wading through rivers amidst mountainous limestone scenery? The villages passed on the way are towered over by up to 1400 m high karts peaks or lie on the Nam Khouang River.

On this 2 day "Fair Trek" you will get an introduction to Lao Loum, Lao Theung, and Lao Sung people and culture. Share life and get to know the real Lao countryside outside of Luang Prabang. Traversing the Phou Khao Khouay National Protected Area, the trail follows the Nam Leuk River. The trek starts at the Tad Leuk Waterfall in the southeast of the National Park and ends at the southern tip of the Nam Ngum Lake, where the Nam Leuk Reservoir

This easy trek takes the passionate walker into the elephant forests of the Phou Khao Khouay National Protected Area (NPA). Of the two herds known to inhabit this NPA, one has quite recently chosen to roam the bamboo thickets nearby the village of Ban Na.

To protect the wild elephant herds and to compensate the villagers for the occassional damage caused by these great beasts, a community-based tourism scheme was introduced. Trained local guides lead the visitors to very remote sites within the forests of this Nature reserve, just over an hour away from Vientiane.

A full day elephant riding and trekking tour in the 'Elephant Village' just 15 km outside of Luang Prabang. This great one day tour includes village visits and soft hiking into amazing countryside, a Khmu minority village and the magnificent Tad Sae waterfalls.
