Laos Tours and Activities

Most tour companies in Laos are overseen by the National Tourism Authority of Laos (NTAL) and offer a range of tour packages, usually from 2 to 14 days visiting your choice of sites in Laos. Among these are the capital city of Vientiane, the UNESCO World Heritage site of Luang Prabang, the caves of Vang Vieng, the Plain of Jars in Xieng Khuang, the huge waterfalls, rare dolphins and riverside communities in Champasak and the National Biodiversity Conservation Areas in Savannakhet and Thakhek where Laos' wildlife and forests are protected. You can even visit the many different tribal villages up near the mountainsides, whose way of life is virtually unchanged by modern times.

Besides visiting the famous places, take a little bit of your time to see the friendly local people; how they live their daily life working in the rice fields, at the temple and at the market.

Besides this Laos tour page, take a look at our Laos Country Guide, which gives an indication of what there is to see and do in Laos. For more detailed information, go to the Laos Destination Guides page, and click on whichever destination you want details for.

Laos tour packages can be tailored to suit your needs. They can come with meals or (at a lower rate) without meals or you can even request genuine Laos cuisine rather than the milder fare usually offered to foreign tourists.

We currently have tour listings for the following destinations in Laos:

Champasak
Luang Prabang

Luang Namtha
Vang Vieng

Vientiane
Xieng Khouang
